Sustainable Waste Solutions says: In the process of "commissioning" a study on waste streams in the Boston-metro region. |
ABOUT US
An evolving concept, currently in the R&D phase and emphasizing the research end of things. The intention is to complete a research project on the local waste stream(s) in the Boston-metro region (following the stream from generation of wastes to final resting place for wastes).
Based on a previous study performed on recycling, and an on-going one on composting, this proposed startup intends to offer a variety of services in the waste management realm.
The driver for this idea is two-fold in nature: rising costs of waste collection and processing coupled with growing concern for our environment and natural systems.
The aim is simple: development of a community-wide sustainable waste management firm, operated in part by the community it serves.

There is currently a pilot program taking place (under the auspices of my proposed start-up) dedicated to the production of biodiesel from coffee grounds and tea grounds, as well as use of roughly 10% of the grounds collected for use in a pilot program on composting. I am looking for advice on the production of biodiesel, and am open to travel to speak with someone involved in (or previously involved in) the production of biofuels from food wastes.
