  Chile has a distinct advantage over other Latin American destinations to attract new engineering companies based on the high quality of life, and political and economic stability and a broad new range of infrastructure projects in light of the reconstruction efforts. Establishing niche engineering strengths for subsequent regional export would position Chile favorably in the Americas engineering sector.

  Chile's seismic engineering is quite good, but the country does not have that many seismic engineers and not many of those are involved in devising, revising the building codes or manufacturing seismic bracing products.
  Besides providing a portfolio of seismic bracing products, Seismic Bracing Systems is focused on developing engineering talent to serve the architectural needs of Chile. We will also focus on exporting the services and products that will not only benefit Chile but global customers as well.

  Chile gets a great deal of earthquakes because of the Nazca plate subduction off and under its coast. In the south of the country, the Nazca plate dips steeply into the mantle; to the north, its flexing is considerably less. The strongest earthquake ever recorded occurred in Chile in 1960. Its magnitude was 9.5 and it appears to have released 27% of all seismic energy released in the entire 20th century.
