Mobile Campus
Mobile Campus is the most intuitive, user-friendly mobile smart phone application for students to connect with their classmates via instant messaging. Mobile Campus makes it easy to view course materials and to connect with classmates via student profiles.

Idea
Our idea is simple, yet practical. It builds upon the already used Blackboard system here at SJSU. We are striving for something that improves Blackboard and make a mobile application that is more user-friendly.

Purpose
Our main purpose is to simply not improve the Blackboard system, but to create a whole new program that includes several new key features that Blackboard does not have. We are not connected with Blackboard, but rather a new group that wants to spread our idea of making student-to-student contact within the classroom more accessible.

Key Features
There are a multitude of user-friendly features that our application has:
1. Classes – This menu highlights every single class that a student is taking and from there, they can access schedules, syllabi, and other info from the class.
2. My Profile – This menu shows the student’s contact information.
3. Student Profiles – From here, the student can access a list of their classes, which have drop down menus showing every single student in that class. By clicking on a student’s name, they can access their profile.
4. Instant Messaging – This is where the students can message each other, rather than wasting text messages and phone minutes.
5. Instructor Profiles – This page is for information on the instructor and any information important to that instructor’s class.

Customers
Our customers are those in college that have smart phones. A large portion of students here on campus have smart phones. From their phones, they can download this application straight to their phone, free of charge. This application will remain free to hard-working students through advertising that we hope to get.

Why Mobile Campus?
Mobile Campus is perfect for any college student who can access it. It saves money for students who don’t have unlimited texts and minutes. More importantly, it saves tons of paper because every single piece of important info that an instructor or classmate gives out, can be accessible through this application. It’s easier and cheaper, what more can a student ask for?s
