Ignacio López – Co-Founder and CTO, Wormhole IT (ilopez@wormholeit.com)
Ignacio is a Software Engineer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with more than 6 years of expertise in the fields of Object Oriented development and architecture. He currently plays the role of CTO and Head of Product Development at Wormhole IT, a company specialized in developing innovative software products to solve the world’s most difficult and challenging problems. Prior to this position, Ignacio worked in a variety of companies in several roles, ranging from Senior Software Architect and Project Leader at local software development firms to .NET Technology Specialist at Microsoft Argentina.
His current areas of interest are RESTful services integration, mission critical web architectures, declarative programming and RIA's technologies, and he has worked in the past as a researcher in the fields of Operating Systems and Parallel Cluster Computing. Ignacio has taught courses on Operating Systems and Systems Architecture at local universities, as well as being a Senior Instructor for the Microsoft Official Curricula and Sun Microsystems Official Courses (Java SE and Java EE) in local certification centers.
Ignacio is also a frequent collaborator of the MSDN community and local Microsoft User Groups, being featured as a guest speaker in conferences and events and writing technical articles for different magazines and journals in the Latin America region.
