Ian Fisk is the executive directorofthe William James Foundation. Mr. Fisk was previously the CEO of ITF Consulting, Inc. and served as the Director of Projects for Wall Street Without Walls. His professional experience also includes helping to launch the AmeriCorps*VISTA Entrepreneur Corps, designing the system that tracks all AmeriCorps members, working with Public Allies, City Year, ServeNet, KaBOOM!, CitySoft and many other social enterprises, and being the internet coordinator for the Paul Tsongas Presidential Campaign. He has founded or co-founded more than a dozen ventures, both non-profit and for-profit.

He has been an active champion of Net Impact, leading both the student chapter at Yale and the Washington, DC Professional Chapter for many years. He was twice part of the leadership of a Net Impact Professional Chapter of the year, and has been recognied as a success story and a distinguished member. Mr. Fisk also leads The Washington Area Business Alliance for Sustainability which coordinates DC-Area sustainable business events. He is a member of the Social Venture Network, the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, the Social Enterprise Alliance, the Royal Society for Arts and Manufactures, Green America, and many other related associations and organizations. Mr. Fisk founded The Community Tool Chest, Washington DC’s largest tool loaning library. He was also a charter member of Hands On DC, an annual volunteer work-a-thon for the D.C. public schools. He has served on the boards of The Youth National Organization for Tomorrow, Community Action International Alliance, College Bound, and the Gateway Community Development Corporation.

Mr. Fisk has an MBA from the Yale School of Management, where he was selected by his professors as a super-tutor. He has also completed a Political and Social Thought degree from the University of Virginia, Training for Change's Advanced Train-the-Trainers program, and several years of Improvisational Comedy workshops. Mr. Fisk is a frequent public speaker, and has led more than 50 formal training events on subjects such as event management, sustainable business, database design, and using Improvisational Comedy in workshop facilitation.
