Carolyn Strimike RN, MSN, APN is a board certified nurse practitioner specializing in health and wellness. As a leading expert she has counseled and cared for thousands of patients over the years. Carolyn is presently practicing in northern New Jersey caring for and educating patients about risk factors for heart disease, stroke, diabetes and health promotion. She translates the latest medical and nursing research into practical tips to motivate people to adopt healthier lifestyles or educate healthcare professionals about prevention, early detection and treatments. Carolyn has been teaching and speaking professionally for 19 years.
Carolyn obtained her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from Rutgers University. Her certifications include: critical care nursing (CCRN), adult acute care nurse practitioner (ACNPC and ACNP-BC) and advanced cardiac life support.
Carolyn's 22 year nursing background includes medical intensive care, cardiac surgery, invasive cardiology, coronary intensive care, progressive care, nursing education and disease prevention.
Carolyn also is the co-founder of Heartstrong, LLC a healthcare education and consulting business.
