Baat grew up in Jerusalem, Israel, and now lives in the energetic and creative community of Silicon Valley. Prior to her role with NCWIT as the Program Manager for the Entrepreneurial Alliance, Baat worked in the tech industry for nearly 10 years. She started as a Webmaster at NCAR, then as a Security Software Specialist at BMC Software, and lastly in business development for PLYmedia. Baat is enthusiastic about launching entrepreneurial women to new heights, so in addition to her day-job she is avidly involved with Women 2.0. Her last production was a workshop series taking start-up ideas to the next step. Baat also loves to skydive, ski, and to play with her 2 boys.
Baat holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
