Entrepreneurial spirit flourishes despite crisis
Yesterday the Venture Cup team was thrilled to see yet another increase in submitted entries to the competition – resulting in a record number of entries in the history of the organisation!
Director for Venture Cup, Tine Thygesen is pleased with the result. She comments; ”We are extremely pleased to see that our work promoting entrepreneurship at the Danish universities is causing more people to make steps towards starting their own business. The rise in number of entries in Venture Cup shows that the will to create progress and growth is flourishing despite the downturn”.
Southern Denmark experienced the most remarkable growth with an increase of 75% in submitted business plans compared to last year.
The number of women participating in the competition has also improved dramatically with a rise of 108% on lasts year’s numbers.
