    Your last chance for participating in Venture Cup - the national entrepreneurship competition - is approaching, so make sure you upload your 10-20 page business plan by:

    Monday May 4th 2009 at 12.00 noon.

    Every participating team will receive detailed feedback from our jury of business experts, investors and entrepreneurs, providing valuable feedback on your idea. Our prestigious final is held at Børsen (The Old Stock Exchange) in Copenhagen on 4. june.

  • 2. Venture Cup wins prize for fostering growth

    Venture Cup was last Tuesday announced as the winner of CONNECT Denmark’s prize for fostering entrepreneurial growth (Vækstinitiativ 2009). The prestigious prize is awarded to an organisation which has put its mark on entrepreneurship and growth, and which has directly contributed to increased success for more entrepreneurs in Denmark.

    Tine Thygesen, managing director for Venture Cup says the full 14-person team is proud of the prize. ”Venture Cup is very happy to receive this particular prize from CONNECT. Growth is one of our working mantras because we believe that Denmark can be on the forefront of innovation, if only we assist and support the ambitious new ideas that emerge. It is a distinct pleasure to work with the dedicated and driven young entrepreneurs everyday, and to be recognised for the results we achieve together is a real pat on the back”

  • 3. Meet Venture Cup at Vækstfondens annual meeting

    Vækstfonden, sponsor of Venture Cup and key player in the Danish Venture Capital industry invite you to their annual meeting in Øksnehallen. Experience interesting speakers and help putt focus on growth in smaller companies. More than 1.100 investors, entrepreneurs, owners and managers have signed up the event, which takes place on Wednesday the 13th of May, 2009.

    Venture Cup is one of the partners you can meet at the new Meeting Points at the event. Among the others are CONNECT Denmark, Dansk Iværksætterforening, DVCA and Medicon Valley Allience.

  • 4. Free access to new venture platform through Venture Cup

    The Venture Cup alumni company Capital Gateway has launched a new webpage, connecting investors with capital-seeking companies.

    The webpage gives investors the opportunity to strengthen their deal flow by browsing start-ups online according to specific criteria, while giving entrepreneurs access to the venture capital market.

    To give something back to the Venture Cup network, the team behind Capital Gateway has offered all Venture Cup alumni companies a free profile on the site, and Venture companies and business angels connected to Venture Cup, a free start period of four months. Interested? Contact Angelica
