    Event: (Copenhagen) Learn to write a business plan that will please any investor!
    23 April 2009, 17:00 - 19:00.

    Join this workshop to receive insights on how improve on your business plan, not only to get finance later on, but also to impress the experts in the Venture Cup jury. This may be your last chance before the deadline on May the 4th. The winner of Venture Cup wins 250.000 DKK!

    Bring your own idea or business plan to the workshop for feedback on key elements such as business model, market analyses, level of innovation, patenting and writing style and graphic layout.

    The facilitator of the workshop is Niels Vejrup of SEED Capital. As an investment manager Niels receives hundreds of business plans, primarily from the ICT industry, and can give you the insights on how to write a winning plan to will please investors, and the Venture Cup jury, of which Niels is a member.

    Event: (Kgs. Lyngby) How to profit from your DTU project
    22 April 2009, 17:15 - 19:00.

    At this event we will focus on capitalizing on your existing DTU projects. One of DTUs top alumni, Thomas Rasmussen (26), will facilitate the workshop. Among other achievements Thomas is the founder of Green Vision (National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy) and Biotech Academy both with a turnover of 7 mil. dkk in their first year, as well as being a consultant in Bioenergy Asia for Novozymes.

    Thomas will help you see the opportunities for your project, and give you tips on how to sell your idea to the right people. In addition to this he will talk about turning your project into a business plan, and how you can benefit from partaking in Venture Cup.

    Past event: NEXT Lounge – a successful Venture Cup fieldtrip!

    All across the country Venture Cup facilitated the live-streamed NEXT conference, held together with Innovation Lab in Århus on 2nd of April.

    Venture Cup students from Roskilde, Copenhagen, Odense, Århus and Aalborg experienced an impressive line-up of speakers on the subject of new technology and innovative businesses. From Pablos, the hacker, who gave us all a lesson on internet security, to the innovative street-combing procedures by Richard Stomp, the ‘Do-like-nature’ technology by Julian Vincent, with his new generation of hammers imitating the movements of the woodpecker to the exhibition in Århus where we all got to see the newest technology – the show was inspiring and thought-provoking to anyone interested in entrepreneurship.

    Event: (Roskilde) How to write a business plan that can win Venture Cup
    April 15 2009, Roskilde, 16.00 – 18.00

    Venture Cups managing director Tine Thygesen shares her insights on what the jury has previously been know to look for when judging the competition. While the workshop covers general content and purpose of writing a business plan, it also gives you the opportunity to discuss specific Venture Cup criteria, point scoring and an introduction to the jury panel. 

The workshop includes feedback on your business plan so please bring it along if you please.

  • 5. Tip of the Week

    The tip of going far in the Venture Cup competition is to convince the jury that your idea would be worth investing in. Below you can find some tips and information that can help you achieving it. You can get some ideas and resources here.

    Make sure you get a high score in the competition by checking out the criteria the jury evaluate your business plan on in advance. Check this information and improve your chances of winning!
