Don't forget to address intellectual property issues from both 1) a freedom to operate perspective (will someone else's IP rights prevent you from doing what you want to do)and from 2) a gaining a competitive advantage perspective (do you have IP rights that will prevent competitors from copying your product or service).
ATTN those who uploaded an Intent to Compete form and have been moved on to the next round: Please fill out your OPBP and indicate your availability for the Elevator Pitch Round at https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/7122581 Thanks!
Good question George. Yes, we realize this website can seem somewhat user-unfriendly at times.
The reason you do not see the One Page Business Plan details yet is because they will not be uploaded until after 5:00pm today (when the Intent to Compete is due). After that, you will be able to start submitting the OPBP the same way that you did the Intent to Compete. The platform only allows us to run one leg of the competition at a time.
Don't forget that you must UPLOAD a .doc or .pdf (pdf preferred) of your Intent to Compete on the second page of the application.
To get started, click on "submit and entry" on the group home page, fill out your demographic information, and click on the link for "submission guidelines" to view a sample of the Intent to Compete form (you will have to check the box next to this link to continue to the next page). On that following page, there is a box you can use to upload the document that you typed out, based on the sample Intent to Compete form. These must be uploaded by 1/22/10 at 5:00pm to be considered for this competition. Let me know if you have questions.
We hope everyone is enjoying their break! Make sure to use this wall to find teams to join or recruit new teammates if you haven't done so already, and submit your INTENT TO COMPETE form under "submit an entry" by 1/22/10. Only groups/individuals with .doc or .pdf's of the intent to compete form uploaded by 5:00pm 1/22/10 will be eligible to compete. Don't miss out on this chance to see your venture dreams become a reality!

I have saved the OPBP as a .doc and uploaded to the submissions guideline site. Perhaps you can open this one.
The Link sent to the OPBP DOES NOT OPEN. I've tried opening it on a MAC and a PC, but it does not work. Please help with this problem.
How can I upload the OPBP? The system says I can only upload one document. I uploaded my Intent to Compete last week. What should I do?

What does the OPBP look like? Which one is the OPBP format? What questions are in it?
This website is kinda tricky to navigate.
